INNDEPENDENT AND INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISM, PUBLISHED IN THE WORLD’S LEADING MEDIA OUTLETS, ON WOMEN IN THE U.S. AND AROUND THE WOLD AND THE SOLUTIONS THEY ADVANCE.

In 2014, journalists Christina Asquith (Executive Editor) and Xanthe Scharff Ackerman (Executive Director) founded the Fuller Project for International Reporting in Istanbul, Turkey. Christina was the only journalist embedded in Iraq in 2003 to focus exclusively on issues faced by women. She chronicled Iraqi activists in Sisters in War: A Story of Love, Family and Survival in the New Iraq (Random House).

The Fuller Project takes inspiration from Margaret Fuller (1810-1850), America’s first female war correspondent and a leading proponent in the 1800’s of women’s rights. Building on her legacy, The Fuller Project exposes the inequalities that women still face, with a focus on leaders who move us forward.
