Felista Wangari

Felista Wangari is a journalist and editor at The Nation in Kenya. Her reporting focuses on issues that impact women and girls in East Africa. She is a contributing editor to The Fuller Project on our coverage of East Africa, and is a partner via our reporting collaboration with the Nation Media Group, the largest media company in East Africa. Felista began her journalism career at the Saturday Nation in 2010, following a journalism traineeship at the Nation Media Group’s Media Lab. At the weekend desk, she found her niche as a writer for the Saturday Magazine, where she covered lifestyle topics of interest to women, before becoming a copy-editor for the magazine. In 2017, she joined the Health and Science Desk as a copy-editor, before becoming the Health & Science editor (her current role), the following year. Felista is passionate about gender equality, justice, access to healthcare, technology and how media can play a role in making life better for every human.
