Veteran women’s rights journalist Louise Donovan joins The Fuller Project in Kenya where she reports with the editorial team of The Daily Nation as they launch their first gender desk. In her reporting on violence against women, she has embedded with an all-female biker squad fighting rape in India, interviewed mothers of murdered women and girls in El Salvador, and investigated girls forced into child marriage on the Syrian border. Previously the Deputy Digital Editor of ELLE UK, Louise edited the multiple award-winning Warrior series published in partnership with The Fuller Project. A 2017-2018 European Journalism Centre grantee, she was named on the PPA’s ‘30 Under 30’ rising star list in 2019 and won the One World Media award. Louise’s reporting is published in The BBC, The Guardian, VICE, Foreign Policy, ELLE UK and Kenya’s The Daily Nation.
